The trusted digital home of the Haitian community worldwide.
AnnouPale is a community platform built by and for the Haitian diaspora β a place to stay connected, share what matters, and find people who speak the same culture.
Last updated: April 28, 2026
Who we are
AnnouPale was founded because the Haitian community β across Haiti, the US, Canada, France, and the broader diaspora β deserved a digital space that understood the culture, spoke the language, and operated with respect for the people it served.
Most social platforms treat diaspora communities as secondary audiences. AnnouPale treats the Haitian community as its primary audience β not a niche, not a segment, but the reason the platform exists.
What we stand for
- Real community, not engagement metrics. We don't optimize your feed for outrage or addiction. We show you content from people you follow, people you're likely to know, and topics that matter to you.
- Privacy by default. Your phone number is never displayed publicly. Your account data is yours. We do not sell it, profile it for ads, or train AI models on your private content.
- Moderation with cultural literacy. Our moderation team understands Haitian Creole, the cultural context, and the difference between vibrant debate and harmful content.
- Accountability without surveillance. We verify accounts to reduce fraud and impersonation β not to collect sensitive data or build identity profiles.
The name
Pale means "to speak" or "to talk" in Haitian Creole. Annou pale β let's talk. It's an invitation, not a command. That's the spirit we try to bring to every feature we build.
How the product works
AnnouPale is a public and semi-private social platform. You can discover content from the community before you create an account. When you join, you get a profile, a personal feed, the ability to post and reply, and access to private messaging via Pale (our direct conversations feature).
Verification is required to keep the community safe β we ask for a phone number or email to confirm you are a real person. We explain exactly what we do and don't do with that information on our verification page.
