1.Who operates the Services
The Services are operated by MigraTeck LLC (“MigraTeck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the controller responsible for your information under this Privacy Policy. This Policy explains how we handle information when you use AnnouPale, Pale, and our related websites, apps, and services.
2.Scope
This Policy applies to the AnnouPale community platform, the Pale messaging product, our websites and mobile apps, and related features including profiles, posts, communities, events, live and voice rooms, messaging, media uploads, search and discovery, and notifications. It does not apply to third-party services that have their own privacy policies.
3.Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account identifiers: name or display name, handle, phone number, and email address.
- Profile information: bio, photos, links, and other details you choose to add.
- Content: posts, comments, media, messages, and activity in communities, events, and live or voice rooms.
- Contacts: if you choose to upload or sync contacts, the contact information you provide.
- Device and log data: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, identifiers, and usage and diagnostic logs.
- Location: coarse location inferred from your IP address, and more precise location only if you enable it.
- Cookies and session tokens: as described in our Cookie & Tracking Notice.
- Payment and business information: if and when paid features launch, billing and transaction details handled through our payment processors.
- Support and legal communications: messages you send to support, reports you file, and related correspondence.
4.How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Authenticate you and keep your account and the platform secure;
- Deliver messages, calls, and live and voice sessions;
- Personalize content, discovery, and recommendations;
- Operate safety, moderation, and anti-abuse systems;
- Analyze usage and develop new features;
- Send service communications and notifications;
- Comply with law and enforce our terms and policies.
6.Messages and private content
Private messages are not public. We process message content and metadata as needed to deliver messages, to operate safety and anti-abuse systems, to respond to user reports, and to comply with legal obligations. When you report a message, you share its contents with us for review. We store the information necessary to deliver and sync your messages across your devices. See our Live, Voice & Messaging Terms for more.
7.Live audio and video
When you join live or voice rooms, we process information such as your presence, participant and room metadata, and connection quality data. Real-time audio and video are carried by transport providers that process this data on our behalf to deliver the session.
We do not record live sessions unless a recording feature is enabled and disclosed to participants. If we introduce recording, replay, or transcription, we will provide notice and controls before they apply.
9.Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Account data is kept while your account is active;
- Content is kept until you delete it, except where we must retain it for safety, security, or legal reasons, or where it has been shared with others;
- Logs are retained for a limited period for security and abuse prevention.
When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate, limited purposes such as fraud prevention.
10.Your controls
You can:
- Access and update your profile and account information;
- Adjust your privacy and visibility settings;
- Block and report other users;
- Delete content or your account;
- Request a copy or export of your data (where available).
See our Data Rights & Privacy Choices page to exercise these controls.
11.Regional privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:
United States (including California)
You may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or certain targeted advertising. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and similar regions
You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Other jurisdictions
Other regions may grant similar rights. We honor applicable rights requests as required by law. See Data Rights & Privacy Choices.
12.Children and teens
The Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will remove it. Parents or guardians who believe a minor’s account was created without consent can contact safety@annoupale.com. See our Children & Age Policy.
13.Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards — such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Help protect your account by keeping your credentials confidential and never sharing your verification code.
14.International data transfers
We operate globally, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries that may have data protection laws different from those in your location. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
15.Third-party links and services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites and services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them.
16.Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice — for example, by updating the “Last updated” date or notifying you in the Services. Your continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
